I ran into an unexpected issue during booking the tour. Everything was sorted out through e-mail and SoloEast were very quick to reply to any questions we had.Well there isn't much to say about Chernobyl, coz we havent been there: I booked a trip to Chernobyl for me and my friend. Excellent day and would recommend to everyone! Due to time restraints I could only spare a couple of days for the whole trip so booked to fly out to Kiev on Saturday 7th March from London and return on Monday 9th March. Very well organised we met in a central location (independence square) and spent the trip up to the first checkpoint with a film describing the event at reactor number four and the heroic struggle to contain the fire and radiation.Heading through abandoned villages and checkpoints we visited the duga 3 soviet radar deep in the forest.Then it was on to the reactor and its containment followed by the empty city of pripyat with la filling lunch in the canteen at chernobyl itself. Our tour guide once at the exclusion zone was equally as qualified, very knowledgable and fun!
